Ralph Marshall Sr. Memorial Foundation

For the betterment of local youth sports

Welcome!

The Ralph Marshall Sr. Memorial Foundation (RMSMF) is a Seabrook-based non-profit aimed at donating equipment, supplies, and other needed resources to the local youth sports teams of Seabrook, NH.  The foundation's first and present goal is to raise enough money for the installation of batting cages at Governor Weare Park in Seabrook.  The cages would be available to anyone seeking to use them but would be intended primarily for the numerous youth baseball and softball teams using the park's facilities.  This is still a work-in-progress so any ideas as to other needs of Governor Weare Park that might be more pressing or pragmatic than batting cages are welcome.  Any and all donations are also welcome!!!

The RMSMF was founded in hopes of continuing Ralph's contribution to the community in his absence.  Ralph succombed to pancreatic cancer on January 22, 2008 but we hope to carry on his passion for youth sports through a foundation named in his honor.  The "Major League" field at Governor Weare Park was officially named after Ralph just months before his passing in recognition of his contributions.

5K Road Race

This year's 5K Ro scheduled for August 9th at 9 AM.  Same place.  Same route.  This year's race will feature cash prizes for the Top 3 Finishers in the Men's, Women's and Children's Divisions.  The event has been posted on the CoolRunning website.  Click the here if you would like to view the race posting there.

We have not decided upon any particular park renovation/addition to apply this year's proceeds to yet, so suggestions are welcome.  We would like to contribute to the town most of all, but in the event that we do not come up with a useful and financially appropriate gift, we will donate the proceeds to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Last year's race results were posted on the coolrunning website on August 12 at 4:20 PM.  For a direct link to the results, click the following link: http://www.coolrunning.com/results/08/nh/Aug10_RalphM_set1.shtml.

We raised nearly $2000 and put it toward purchasing the aforementioned batting cage.  We were able to erect the batting cage back in April, shortly after the start of the youth baseball season.  Pictures of it are available at the photo section of this site.
